portia-and-scarlett-ps27405c
Portia and Scarlett PS27405C Open-Back Fully Beaded V-Neck Fitted Gown with Train

About the Dress: Portia and Scarlett PS27405C

The Portia and Scarlett PS27405C is a fully beaded long gown covered in dense rhinestone and sequin-style embellishment from the bodice all the way to the hem. Wide shoulder straps frame a deep V-neckline, and the entire back is open from shoulder to waist and beyond. This is a statement gown built for high-impact evenings — every surface catches the light.

PS27405C is available in Gold, Midnight, Peacock, and Red. The Gold colorway is photographed here; other colorways share the same cut and construction.

Fit & Silhouette

Portia and Scarlett PS27405C is cut as a fitted gown that contours the body through the bust, waist, and hips. Below the knee, the silhouette opens into a slight flare that flows into a sweep train at the back. A front high slit adds ease of movement and shows the leg from the front. The overall line is long, sleek, and close to the body — this gown is designed to sit against the figure rather than away from it.

Sizing runs standard. Most customers find PS27405C true to size, though the fitted bodice means there is little room to take in the waist — ordering to your hip measurement and altering the waist down is the safer approach if you are between sizes.

Fabric & Detail

The base of PS27405C is a sheer mesh underlayer visible through the panelled skirt sections. Over that base, dense beading and rhinestone embellishment covers every inch of the gown — bodice, waist, hips, and skirt panels — so the dress reads as fully beaded top to bottom. The beading gives the fabric real weight and structure, which helps the fitted silhouette hold its shape through a long night.

The sweep train is beaded to match, so the back view is as finished as the front. There are no raw or unembellished sections.

Key Features

Fully beaded construction — rhinestone and sequin-style embellishment top to bottom

Deep V-neckline with wide shoulder straps

Completely open back from shoulders to below the waist

Front high slit for ease of movement

Sweep train at the back

Fitted through bust, waist, and hips with a slight flare below the knee

Available in Gold, Midnight, Peacock, and Red

Long gown length

Style & Occasion

Portia and Scarlett PS27405C is built for occasions where bold, fully embellished gowns are not just acceptable but expected. It is a natural fit for prom, pageant competitions, and any formal event where maximum visual impact is the goal. The fully open back and deep V-neckline make this a runway-ready choice for competitive pageant styling.

For styling, let the beading do the work. Minimal jewelry — simple drop earrings or small studs — keeps the focus on the gown. Strappy high-heeled sandals in gold, silver, or a colorway match elongate the leg through the slit. Because the back is completely open, you will need a backless or adhesive-style bra or built-in support alternatives — the gown's structured beading provides some hold, but not enough on its own for most customers.

Marlas Fashions is an authorized Portia and Scarlett retailer with over 40 years in the business.
