portia-and-scarlett-ps27156
Portia and Scarlett PS27156 V-Neck Mesh Fitted Gown with Sweep Train & Boned Bodice

About the Dress: Portia and Scarlett PS27156

Portia and Scarlett PS27156 is a long fitted beaded gown built for maximum impact. The entire dress — from the structured bodice down to the hem — is covered in beading and sequin embellishment, giving it a continuous luminous surface in every colorway. It is available in Gold, Pink, and Silver, and the silhouette is sleek and body-hugging from top to bottom with a dramatic train and a high front slit that opens up the stride. This is a standout gown for prom, pageant competition, and formal evening events.

Fit & Silhouette

PS27156 is a fitted gown that contours through the bust, waist, and hips all the way down. The silhouette stays close to the body and the high front slit allows comfortable movement at the hem. Boning is built into the bodice, which gives the top structure and keeps everything in place without relying on a heavy undergarment. The gown traces a straight, narrow line to the floor and finishes with a sweeping train. This cut works particularly well on taller figures and on anyone who wants a clean, unbroken vertical line. The open back is a defining feature — the whole back is bare down to the low back, with only a small tie at the nape, so it is worth planning ahead for an adhesive bra or similar solution.

Fabric & Detail

The base of Portia and Scarlett PS27156 is a sheer mesh underlayer. Over that, the gown is covered from top to hem in beading, sequin, and hot-stone surface embellishment. The coverage is heavy and consistent — there is no plain section or contrast panel on the exterior. The Silver colorway shows a slight illusion quality in the side waist area where the mesh underneath catches the light, but the beading runs continuously across it. All three colorways — Gold, Pink, and Silver — carry the same construction and the same level of embellishment. The finish is glossy and catches light strongly from every angle.

Key Features

Full-length fitted silhouette with a floor-sweeping train

Deep v-neckline with wide shoulder straps

Full-surface beading and sequin embellishment, bodice to hem

Built-in boning for structure and support

High front slit for ease of movement

Fully open back with small tie closure at the nape

Available in Gold, Pink, and Silver

Sheer mesh base with heavy beaded surface treatment

Style & Occasion

Portia and Scarlett PS27156 is designed for events where you want to make a strong entrance. It is an ideal prom gown for anyone who wants full coverage in embellishment with a fitted, high-drama silhouette rather than a ballgown. It is also a serious choice for pageant competition — the full beading, the train, the open back, and the overall construction align directly with stage-ready pageant styling. Beyond prom and pageant, it suits formal evening galas and black-tie-level events where a heavily embellished gown is expected. The open back and the high slit make it too overtly sexy for wedding-guest contexts, so it is best kept to dedicated formal occasions. Gold suits warm skin tones and stage lighting. Silver reads cool and modern under white or blue light. Pink is a strong, saturated option that photographs well in both indoor and outdoor settings. Pair with strappy heeled sandals, minimal jewelry, and a simple updo to keep the focus on the gown.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0744/9541/files/portia-and-scarlett-ps27156-silver-01-prom-dresses-marlas-fashions.jpg?v=1793746048
