portia-and-scarlett-ps27090
Portia and Scarlett PS27090 Metallic Jersey Halter High-Neck Fitted Gown

About the Dress: Portia and Scarlett PS27090

The Portia and Scarlett PS27090 is a floor-length fitted metallic jersey gown built for high-impact entrances. The entire body of the dress is covered in an all-over gathered, pleated texture that creates a ruched appearance from the neckline to the hem, giving the fabric constant movement and dimension under light. The neckline is a high draped halter collar — it wraps and drapes at the neck for a cowl-like effect while anchoring as a halter at the back, creating a neckline that is both high-coverage at the front and dramatically open at the back. PS27090 is available in Champagne, Gunmetal, Olive, and Deep Red.

Fit & Silhouette

Portia and Scarlett PS27090 is cut to follow the body precisely through the bust, waist, and hips with no break in the fit — a true body-hugging silhouette. The metallic jersey fabric has enough natural stretch to move with you, but the dress is designed to sit close to the skin throughout. Size down if you are between sizes and want the full sculpted effect. The gown falls to the floor with a high slit that opens the lower portion of the skirt for ease of movement. The back of the dress is fully open from the base of the high halter collar down to near the lower spine, with a single thin chain or decorative strap running vertically as an accent detail.

Fabric & Detail

The base fabric is metallic jersey — a stretch knit with a high-sheen metallic finish that catches light from every angle without requiring sequins or heavy embellishment. The all-over gathered texture is built directly into the construction of the dress rather than applied on top, so the ruched look is structural and stays in place throughout the night. The thin vertical chain running down the open back is the only surface ornament; it draws the eye down the exposed back and adds a delicate finishing touch. The Champagne colorway reads as a warm gold-beige in person, and the Gunmetal reads as a cool silver-grey — both photograph with high reflectivity and will shift slightly depending on the light source in the room.

Key Features

Floor-length fitted metallic jersey construction

High draped halter-neck with cowl-wrap effect at the front

Fully open back with thin decorative chain strap accent

All-over structural ruched texture from neckline to hem

High slit for ease of movement

High-sheen metallic finish that catches light without added embellishment

Available in Champagne, Gunmetal, Olive, and Deep Red

Sleeveless, body-hugging, floor-length silhouette

Style & Occasion

The Portia and Scarlett PS27090 is built for prom, formal dances, evening galas, and red-carpet-level events where a high-impact, body-hugging metallic gown is the right call. The high halter front keeps the neckline formal and polished while the open back delivers the drama. Pair it with strappy heeled sandals or minimal pointed-toe heels — the dress is the focal point and accessories should stay clean and simple. Delicate drop earrings or a single statement ear cuff work well; a necklace is unnecessary given the high neckline. For the Champagne colorway, warm gold or rose-gold metallic shoes and accessories pull the look together. For Gunmetal, silver hardware and clear or crystal-set shoes are the natural match. A sleek updo or slicked-back style keeps the open back visible and is the most common choice for formal events with this silhouette.

Portia and
