portia-and-scarlett-ps27068
Portia and Scarlett PS27068 Strapless Ballgown with Front Slit & Train

About the Dress: Portia and Scarlett PS27068

Portia and Scarlett PS27068 is a floor-length strapless ballgown built around a structured corset bodice with visible boning channels and a decorative lace-up closure running down the center front. The skirt is full and voluminous with a front-facing high slit and a floor-sweeping train. It is available in solid Black, solid Red, and a floral Print featuring pink, purple, and green on a champagne base. The back is fully open. PS27068 is a statement gown designed for high-impact occasions where the silhouette needs to fill the room.

Fit & Silhouette

Portia and Scarlett PS27068 follows a classic ballgown shape: a fitted, boned bodice that cinches the waist, then releases into a full, sweeping skirt. The boning channels provide structure and hold through the bust and torso so the gown stays in place throughout the evening without shoulder straps. The front high slit adds movement and a dramatic leg line. The lace-up closure at the center front lets you fine-tune the fit across the bust for a custom feel. The silhouette is bold from every angle — structured from the waist up, dramatic from the waist down.

Fabric & Detail

The solid Black and solid Red colorways are made in a smooth satin that catches light cleanly and holds the ballgown shape with body. The Print colorway uses a floral-printed fabric with a pink, purple, and green pattern on a champagne base — the print itself defines the dress in this version. Across all colorways, the bodice features clearly visible boning channels that run vertically through the corset section. The lace-up detail at the center front is both functional and decorative — it draws the eye and adds a corset-inspired focal point. The floor-sweeping train extends from the full skirt at the back.

Key Features

Strapless sweetheart neckline

Structured corset bodice with visible boning channels

Decorative lace-up closure at center front

Full ballgown skirt with a-line volume

Front-facing high slit for movement and drama

Floor-sweeping train

Fully open back

Available in Black, Red, and floral Print

Style & Occasion

Portia and Scarlett PS27068 is built for occasions that call for a full ballgown presence. It is a strong choice for prom, formal dances, pageants, Sweet 16 celebrations, and debut events. The high slit and open back add a daring edge that works well on a prom or pageant stage. The floral Print colorway reads romantic and garden-fresh — ideal if you want something that stands out from the sea of solid-color gowns. Black delivers the sharpest, most classic look, while Red commands immediate attention. Because the back is fully open and the slit is front-facing, this gown is designed for wearers who want maximum impact. Pair with a simple updo to keep the open back as the focus, and choose minimalist jewelry so the bodice detail and skirt volume speak for themselves. Strappy heels work well with the slit; platform styles add height without fighting the silhouette.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0744/9541/files/portia-and-scarlett-ps27068-print-01-prom-dresses-marlas-fashions.jpg?v=1793743754
