portia-and-scarlett-ps27149c
Portia and Scarlett PS27149C Sequin Halter V-Neck Fitted Gown with Train

About the Dress: Portia and Scarlett PS27149C

Portia and Scarlett PS27149C is a fully-sequined long halter gown built for maximum drama. The entire dress — bodice and skirt — is covered in a patterned starburst sequin motif on a mesh base, so it catches light from every angle. A deep V-neckline, open back, and high front slit make this one of the boldest silhouettes in the Portia and Scarlett lineup. A sweep train finishes the back hem. PS27149C is available in Gold, Ice Blue, Midnight, and Pink.

Fit & Silhouette

PS27149C is cut fitted through the bust, waist, and hips, then opens into a flared hem below the knee. The silhouette is sleek and body-conscious from top to hem. The high front slit gives you full freedom of movement while keeping the look dramatic. The halter neckline ties or fastens at the nape of the neck and the back is open, so the fit through the torso relies on the structured bodice and the snug mesh-and-sequin fabric. Portia and Scarlett PS27149C runs true to size; if you are between sizes, size up for comfort through the hips.

Fabric & Detail

The base fabric is stretch mesh, which gives the gown its close fit and a small amount of give. Over the mesh, a full-coverage sequin layer in a starburst or ray pattern creates a surface that moves and shimmers as you do. Beading accents are integrated into the design alongside the sequin work. Because the sequin and beading run from the neckline all the way to the sweep train, the gown reads fully-beaded at every angle — no plain panels, no contrast sections. The mesh base keeps the overall weight lighter than a fully-lined gown of this length.

Key Features

Full-length fitted silhouette with sweep train

Deep V halter neckline with open back

High front slit for ease of movement

Full starburst/ray sequin motif on mesh — bodice to hem

Beading detail integrated throughout

Available in Gold, Ice Blue, Midnight, and Pink

Sleeveless construction

Style & Occasion

Portia and Scarlett PS27149C is designed for high-impact moments. It is a standout choice for prom, formal dance events, and pageant competitions — any occasion where the goal is to walk in and own the room. The Gold colorway has a warm, trophy-like brilliance; Ice Blue reads cool and ethereal under event lighting; Midnight is a deep, near-black navy that photographs dramatically; Pink ranges from soft blush to bold depending on the light. Pair PS27149C with a strappy heel — a stiletto or block heel both work — and keep jewelry minimal because the sequin surface already does the heavy lifting. A simple drop earring or a delicate chain is enough. Because the back is fully open and the neckline is a halter, a traditional bra will not work; a sticky bra or built-in bodice support is the right choice. Marlas Fashions is an authorized Portia and Scarlett retailer and every gown is inspected before it ships.

Portia and Scarlett
00 /
