portia-and-scarlett-ps27074
Portia and Scarlett PS27074 Halter V-Neck Mermaid Gown with Lace Trim

About the Dress: Portia and Scarlett PS27074

Portia and Scarlett PS27074 is a body-hugging mermaid gown built for a dramatic prom entrance. It combines a deep halter V-neck with a fully open back and a bold leopard-print stretch jersey base that makes it stand out in any crowd. A sweep train finishes the silhouette and trails along the floor as you move.

Fit & Silhouette

PS27074 is cut in a true mermaid silhouette — fitted through the bust, waist, and hips, then flaring out below the knee into a floor-length sweep. The jersey base has stretch in it, so the dress moves with you rather than against you. Halter straps anchor the neckline and tie at the back of the neck, contributing to the open-back structure. Because the fit through the body is intentionally close, Portia and Scarlett recommend sizing up if you are between sizes or carry more volume through the hip.

Fabric & Detail

The base fabric is a stretch jersey printed in a leopard pattern — the same knit construction that keeps the dress smooth and crease-resistant across a long night. Lace covers the upper bodice front, framing the V-neckline and adding texture against the printed base. Lace trim also runs along the open-back edges and side seam, while printed lace detailing sit along the side and back trim line for a sculptural finishing detail. A long lace panel trails from the halter tie at the back of the neck, adding length and drama from behind.

Key Features

Mermaid silhouette — fitted through the hips, flares below the knee

Deep halter V-neckline with choker collar band

Fully open back framed in lace trim

Leopard-print stretch jersey base

Lace-covered upper bodice

3D printed lace detailing along the side and back trim

Long lace trailing panel from the halter tie

Sweep train

Available in Brown (Leopard), Hot Pink (Leopard), and Ice Blue (Leopard)

Style & Occasion

Portia and Scarlett PS27074 is designed for prom — specifically for the wearer who wants a look that commands attention rather than blends in. The leopard print reads as a fashion-forward choice that photographs well under event lighting, and the open back creates impact from every angle. Pair it with strappy heeled sandals and minimal jewelry so the dress stays the focus — a thin gold chain or small drop earrings work well. The halter neckline means you can skip a necklace entirely. Available colorways are Brown (Leopard), Hot Pink (Leopard), and Ice Blue (Leopard); Hot Pink reads the boldest under stage lighting while Ice Blue photographs with cooler, more graphic contrast.

Portia and Scarlett
00 / Brown
